Spring Break at the Beach

We went to the beach for a couple of days during Spring Break. Anna brought her friend Brigitte to entertain her for the weekend. The Sox Family was at the beach as well and we met up with them for dinner 2 nights. What a group photo! See how the men always sit together.
Tate and Jack. Looks like they had just a few beers while they waited.

What fun we had shopping!!!!

My little man loved the house that we stayed in and he had a great time at the beach.

Anna's New Car

Friday, March 20th was a big day for Anna, this is the day she got her new car. We went and test drove this car the weekend before and purchased in on Thursday from a guy from Florence. Anna had over heard us talking with the seller about getting the car on Thursday so when she came home from school Thursday evening and the car was not there she was disappointed. We decided to wait a couple of days before giving it to her, but only managed to wait a day. She had a softball tournament at Pine Grove Friday and came home kind of upset after not playing the best that night. Tate decided to put the car in the driveway and surprise her as she walked out the door. She drove us to Vellas (her favorite place) that night and has been on the go ever since. She sure does hate that 8:00pm curfew that comes with a restricted driver's license.
By the way, I forgot to post that Anna got her restricted license on Saturday, February 7th. Tate and Anna got up early that morning so they could be one of the first people in line for the driving test. I think Tate was more nervous than she was. Anna did very well on the drving test and came home with her new license. She is ready to run errands for me now.

Softball Time Again!?!?!

It is that time of year again, the time where our lives revolve around someone's softball schedule. Here are a few pictures from the high school season.

Learning to Love Each Other

Well, they are finally learning to love each other. Anna has finally accepted the fact that TJ is a permanent family member and not something we can "return when we find the receipt" as she would like to say.

TJ and Fred

TJ has had this little dog since the day we brought him home from the hospital. He loves Fred to death. Fred loves to be thrown in the air and loves to take a bath in the washing machine. I can only wonder how many years Fred will last.

Miss Aquila

After much thought, Anna decided to be in the Miss Aquila pageant again this year. My baby girl has really grown up and I am so very proud of the young lady she is becoming.
The theme this year was "Airport High School Goes Green". I do not know whose idea this was, but it was a bad one. It was difficult to make an oufit out of material that we should recycle and have an outfit that you would not be embarrassed to wear.

Anna picked out her dress all by herself, once she tried it on she knew this was the one that she wanted. Everyone said how much more they loved her dress this year as compared to last year. Well, I guess Anna has better taste than me, because I pickd out the dress last year.

Anna placed 2nd Runner-Up again this year.

Learning to Clean

My mom has really been teaching TJ well, you say the word "mess" and he runs to go get the broom.

Christmas 2008

This year Christmas seemed to be a little more hectic than normal. Anna had her wisdom teeth pulled on December 23rd, so she was pretty much out of it until a couple of days after Christmas. I had a hard time finding what gifts to give this year and TJ is more active than ever. I debated on whether to put gifts under the tree this year in fear of coming home and seeing all of them unwrapped, but for the most part TJ did not bother the gifts depsite Anna's encouragement. I did get a new camera for Christmas, so hopefully I will take more pictures in 2009. Anna would not allow us to take many pictures of her this year due to her swallen face, but here is her opening the softball bat that sh had to have. With the help of GDennis she found it prior to Christmas, they even took it out of the box and was playng with it one evening. It sure is getting harder and harder to surprise her anymore.
TJ is kicked back on his John Deere lawn mover that he got.

This is pretty much how I felt Christmas Eve trying to make sure that I had everyhing ready to go for th next day.

We did visit Santa earlier this year, but TJ did not want to get close to him at all.

What cute kids! We used this picture on our Christmas cards.
